Oprah supports president-elect ObamaMy idol, the ab fab, Oprah Winfrey is going to tape a few episodes of her show in Washington D.C. during the week of president-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration!

According to the Associated Press, Winfrey will host a live episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” from the Kennedy Center Opera House on Monday, January 19, the day before Obama takes the presidential oath of office, Harpo Productions said Thursday. A second show will be held on Wednesday, January 21.

We all know Oprah’s been an avid supporter of Obama since her public endorsement of his campaign last spring. She’s appeared at a few rallies alongside him and his ab fab wife Michelle and donated money to the cause. I know she, along with many of us, wouldn’t miss this event for the world!

Ticketing information will be posted next week on Please believe I will be trying my hardest to get my hands on one…or two.

Oprah recently put rumors that she’ll be leaving her wildly popular show to host another show on her own network.

“I’m a girl that keeps her word. I have a contract till 2011, so right now that’s what I have until someone writes me another one,” she tells Extra. “I’m going to fulfill my contractual obligations and fulfill them happily.”

 We’ll be watching, O!
